A Break

.....is what I need. So. Frickin'. BAD. *headdesk*

For the past few semesters, I have been teaching 2 out of four classes from the actual requirements, where I just observe the remaining 2 classes while another sensei teaches the class. For intersession, I basically had only one class to teach so it was a no brainer.

But for this semester, I had the full-blown job laid out for me. Four classes. Four. As in, 16 hours per week, four hours a day, minus Wednesday (students' extra-curricular day THANK GOD). I had a bit of whatdya call it; WORK SHOCK? LOL.

Apparently, it is REALLY exhausting. It challenges my mind and body thoroughly. Can you imagine repeating the same thing four times? I never thought I'd get tired of my own jokes, haha.

However, the students have been really good, doing everything I've told them to. Some of them pick-up quite fast, some are slower than others, so I really have to learn to pace myself. I can't help it, because I feel that the later chapters will require extra attention compared to the first few chapters. But I try to make it interesting with a lot of games and activities just to improve their understanding.

Let's hope for the best my effort will be fruitful! *crosses fingers*

On a different note:

Have anyone tried Cadbury Gold? Because I honestly don't understand the fuss about it and why is it pricier than the original version because it seriously does NOT taste any good. Sorry to say this, but it tastes like el-cheapo chocolates. I prefer Dairy Milk and the original line, thankyouverymuch.

Overrated. Sorry. =_=

9 Words Women Use (and Men Should Know)

1) Fine 

This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2) Five Minutes 

If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3) Nothing 

This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4) Go Ahead 

This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

5) Loud Sigh 

This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.) 

6) That’s Okay 

This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7) Thanks 

A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . that will bring on a ‘whatever’).

Is a woman’s way of saying F– YOU!

9) Don’t worry about it, I got it 

Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to #3.

One Year Job Anniversary!!!

I proudly announce that today is officially my one year anniversary of working at Unimas!!! *throws confetti*

I can't believe one year has gone by so fast! I have gone through 3 semesters of teaching and have loved each and every one, with maybe 200 of students under my teaching, and I still love my job, hurrah!

I have also befriended the most wonderful colleagues a girl can have! I shall always remember the good ol' cubicle gang; Melisa, Maliana, Haslina, Erlinda and our big brother Damien! Those were the good ol' days when we sat in our cubicles and made the weirdest jokes ebar. I can still recall a certain dialogue that Damien and I had which was totally misinterpreted by Melisa and Erlinda! That btw shall not be written down here. I have young readers, ahem (ada ke? LOL). 

And not forgetting the rest of the CLS academic staff and the office staff who have always been friendly and entertaining; that we have the best retreats evar! A big happy family is what I have at CLS!

And thank you to my wonderful students who have been nothing but awesome. You guys always brighten up my day, no matter how many grammatical mistakes you guys make!

Looking forward to a more permanent working position in Unimas!

The awesomeness amazes me beyond words. BF, you better be reading this. LOL.

If that's not awesome enough, how about a Star Wars themed wedding??? Complete with Storm Troopers!!! OOH DAD CAN BE DARTH VADER, SO COOL. Mom can be Leia if she wants too. Or Padme? Haha. And maybe my brother can be Boba Fett or Chewbacca. Though I think it'll be a bit too hot for parading around as Chewbacca. LMAO.

LOOK AT THAT JABBA THE HUT CAKE, LOOK AT THE TROOPERS, LOOK AT THE GUESTS IN ROBES!!! Y SO HOSEM! I would love for some kids to be Yoda and the cute furry wookies. LOL.

It's Monday, first day of the semester, but I am not going to complain (I'll save it for tomorrow, LOL) because it's a special Monday for a very dear friend of mine, Melisa-chan!!!!

Something to ponder on the next time you're watching a horror movie..

Has anyone watched Final Destination 5? I  covered my eyes at about 80% of the movie. I don't mind ghosts. But gore.............. BLERGH. Makes me feel all queasy and stuff. The fact that I was fasting did not help at all.

Back to Reality

Raya hols has ended, no matter how many days I get to extend my holidays. 

BTW, I am SUPER tempted to take a day off tomorrow. Have been really busy helping out my kakak angkat whose sister got to enter Unimas. Have been bringing her family around Kuching since it's their first trip here. I have been a tourist guide so many times, the people at Cultural Village, Pasar Ikan, Kedai Kek Lapis, Kedai Pasu etc. remembers my face. I should really get commission for this. LOL.

It has been fun. Her sister; Hanis, who I now consider her to be my adik angkat now, reminds me a lot of  myself during the days I entered UiTM Kuantan in 2005, being away from the family for the first time was zomg super hectic and emotionally draining. And my relationship was in the early stages at that time too. But I felt that it was a huge learning experience for me. I learned a lot about real life. Real people. And above all REAL friends. 

Seriously, the backstabbing that goes on can make someone suicidal. 

I'm just glad that I am nearby to help her out, whereas I had noone in Kuantan. 

I'm helping out with her settling in and been helping her with stuffing her items in her room. I feel that campus life always look better when the room is pretty and clean. Psychological nonetheless, but it helps to lift the mood.
