Raya Photoshoot

My dad had always talked about having professional photos taken by for our family photo, but never really got to it. So when I saw that my favourite photographer had an offer for Raya shoots, I immediately suggested it to him and yeay! We got ourselves a shoot last Sunday!

We just got our photos 2 nights ago, and we were busy browsing through and selecting one for our family portrait. The photos were all brilliant by the way. Totally worth every cent. Love love love! Photos will be up soon! (^_^)v

It's Japanese Language Level 1 Finals today for my Intersession students.

It has been a short, compact 7 weeks of teaching you guys and I had fun teaching you!

You guys are super smart and have picked up the lesson really well, I have no doubt that each of you will pass with flying colours! :)

You guys have done a brilliant job with your Japanese Sketches and I will forever cherish teaching you!

Back Pains

When I mention to people I have back pains, the common response from my sengal friends would be "Aik, belom kawen dah sakit belakang?"

 *bricks all sengal friends*

Lately I have been suffering lower back pains and it does become troublesome when every time you sit down or get up, you groan like you're a bazillion years old. (=_=)

So I had an appointment set with a doctor the other day to have a check-up and an x-ray. I had to do all these weird poses and movements to see if there was anything wrong with my backbone structure aka my vertebrae. But then we had an x-ray just to be sure.

I had to strip down. And had to wear this tie-in-front hospital gown which is really sheer and the gaps between the knots made me feel so self-conscious that I kept holding on to it for fear it would magically untie itself and fall to the ground. And then I'll just run around shamelessly in the nude.

And by the way, the X-ray table was freaking cold. i squealed like an idiot the moment I sat on it. And the nurse was all:

Alhamdulillah, after inspection of my x-ray (which I wished I snapped a photo of but my phone died in the midst of everything, pfft.) nothing was wrong with my bone structure so it could just be muscle strain from carrying anything heavy. The doctor prescribed me with some painkillers and advised a follow-up check up after raya.

Oh, and I was also told not to lift heavy stuff. The ironic thing was, my fiance and I were supposed to pick up this bookshelf for our room at the furniture store. Guess who was the one sitting in the car with a smug face?

Yes. Memefaces are my thing. XD

Mum's Birthday

Yesterday was my mum's birthday! So iftar was extra special with chocolate mousse cake and KFC~ Yummeh!

The cake was supeeeerrrrr tasty!!!! Love it sooo much! It's moist and yummeh. My family is not a big fan of sponge cakes. So if you see me not touching your sponge cakes during Raya, sila jangan kecik ati. I will go for the kek belacan though. My fave!!! Oh, and also horlick cake, and kek lapis India!!! *drools*

Okay, back to the main topic.

What I got for mak:

If you are wondering what I got for her, it's a brown ruffled cardigan and a voucher for facial for two. :) I told bapak to go with her. :p

And apparently our cat Ipin had a gift for her too.

A dead hummingbird. He's way too good in catching stuff. =_=
