Happy Birthday Bro!

June is definitely my most expensive month. But in a good way!
There's the fiance's birthday, father's day, and yesterday was my bro's birthday!
He is officially 18 years old, and can watch all the movies he wants to! Super famous joke for anyone turning 18.
When I turned 18, it was my status on Friendster. Fuiyooo Friendster!!! Mesti dah berdebu dah. LOL.'

Last night we had dinner at Secret Recipe. Took a LOT of photos, but most of them are in my camera, so I'm just grabbing whatever I uploaded to FB and Instagram. :p

With le brother. Kami adik-beradik petak-petak.

Wasn't feeling too hungry, so settled for the teeny weeny lasagna instead of my usual prawn macaroni. :p

OOOH PRESSIES. I got him these cool headphones. GAH. LUPE AMBIK GAMBAR. *facepalms*

Happy 18th Birthday Najman!
University life will be starting soon! :)

Homemade choc chip cookies. Dad's favourite. :D
Tapau-ed some for the fiance since he loves them just as much. :3

Super yummeh thick burgersssss! Bought these special thick burger patties from a shop in Gita area.

His Celebration :)

It was a simple celebration between us. I didn't want to wait until the weekend. I am one of those who prefer birthdays be celebrated on the day itself. I mean, there's a reason it is called BIRTH-DAY. Any other day would just be your normal day.

Yes, I am petty like that. =_=

We rushed home from work, showered, and left after Maghrib for The Spring (where else? lol). And to celebrate his birthday, I decided to treat him at Secret Recipe, so that he gets to choose his own birthday cake. :p

His birthday cake:

It's Black Forest Cheese Cake by the way. Still quite new in Kuching's Secret Recipe. :)

His dinner:

Grilled Chicken Rice, I think. Look at him so happily eating the onions. He loves onions. But ohemmgee,  he had onion breath the entire night. LOL.

Couple shot :p :

OHAI. We're engaged. KTHXBAI.

His gift? I didn't give a crap about his "NO GIFTS! SAVE MONEY FOR OUR WEDDING" rule. LOLOLOL. I knew exactly what to get him. He's been eyeing it for months. Every time we go to Parkson he'll  say "Can we go to and see if it's still there?"

I knew it'd be a perfect birthday gift for him. :p

Can you guess what it is? :p

Here's how it actually looks like:

It's Darth Vader's Lightsaber!

He bought a Darth Vader helmet 2 months back, and he's been itching to get the lightsaber but has been holding back because it was a bit pricey. The lightsaber is a proper replica of the movie's lightsaber, so it seemed to be really limited. Heck, there was only one in Parkson!

Now I am also a fan of Star Wars, so I had no problem with him liking these sort of stuff too. I even played with it to test it out. Hahahahaha.

Here are some photos of us playing around with the Darth Vader mask. It even has his asthmatic-voice too! So awesome!

We are such dorks. XD

What I Baked for his Birthday

Instead of a cake like I usually do, I decided to make something different this year. I am pretty sure it's be hard to beat the rainbow cake I baked for him last year. It takes ages to make it by the way, but I know he loved it very much! :)

So for this year, I decided to make a dessert I knew he loved very much. It's the dessert he would always go for second when we go to Hartz Chicken Buffet at Sarawak Plaza.

Apple Crumble.

I browsed through different recipes and tried to find one that would be fail-proof and also the simplest to make. Just so that nothing could possibly go wrong. :p

I was lucky that I got it right on my first attempt! But I'd make some amendments if I'll be baking this again anytime soon. (Note to self: Less sugar, more apples! :D)

Preparation made:

It was surprisingly quite simple to make! :D Way easier than baking a five-layer different colours cake! (But colours are fun, sooo.. lol.)

A success! :D

Finished in one night after baking completed. I managed to save a tupperware-ful for the fiance's breakfast/brunch/lunch/whenever he's going to eat it the next day. :p
